Seattle photographer Jennifer Loomis emailed the Northwest Adoption Exchange (NWAE) website one night, volunteering to 51 the kids to be adopted. With 18 years of 52 as a documentary and portrait photographer, Jennifer believed she could use her 53 to bring out each child's personality. After the NWAE accepted her 54 , Jennifer set up a photo shoot with five boys and two girls. To 55 the kids, Jennifer brought her dog, along 56 a makeup artist. “I wanted to see the kids smile and laugh," she says.
The photos were posted online. Prospective 57 parents Joanna Church and Sean Vaillancourt visited the website and were immediately 58 to one child, 16-year-old Deon. It was Deon's“sparkly, happy eyes,”says Joanna, 59 encouraged the couple to pursue an adoption. They adopted Deon in October 2014.
NNVAE won't 60 how many children have been adopted to date, but a spokesperson says the photos have been “an invaluable tool" in matching the kids with families.
